Matt Sykes is a research analyst on the global equity team at William Blair Investment Management. In this role, he covers large-cap healthcare companies. Before joining the firm in 2025, Matt was a managing director and senior equity research analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he covered life sciences tools and diagnostics. Previously, Matt was an institutional salesperson at Goldman Sachs, where he led the firm’s asset management sales team. Before that, Matt spent five years at Fidelity Investments in Boston. He received a B.A. from Hamilton College and an M.B.A. from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business.
