Lewis Jones, Marcelo Assalin, and Marco Ruijer Named to Euro Stars 2026

Three members of William Blair’s emerging markets debt team—Lewis Jones, CFA, FRM, local currency portfolio manager; Marcelo Assalin, CFA, partner, head of the emerging markets debt team, and portfolio manager; and Marco Ruijer, CFA, partner and portfolio manager—have been named to Citywire’s Euro Stars 2026 list, ranking 110th, 85th, and 72nd, respectively. The list showcases the top-performing managers across Europe on a three-year, risk-adjusted basis. The recognition highlights the breadth of talent and investment expertise across William Blair's emerging market debt team.

The Euro Stars guide, published in June 2026, is based on a fund manager’s track record over the last three years. This performance is calculated using total returns, priced at bid to bid, with income reinvested at the ex-dividend date. The managers are then ranked using the Citywire Manager Ratio, which is a modified version of the Information Ratio that factors in all the eligible funds across all asset classes and sectors an individual runs over that time period. The data used covers the three years to December 31, 2025.
