Transcript
I just wrapped up JPMorgan’s Global Emerging Markets Corporate Conference here in Miami. Uncertainty around trade policies, and how that extends to monetary policy, was a central point of discussion. This uncertainty has led to a more cautious approach to new investments as seen in Mexico’s industrial real estate new investments, which have slowed down materially the last couple of quarters. From a Brazilian meat producer, we are seeing a tightening cattle supply in both Brazil and the U.S., with demand moving faster, likely driving higher beef prices for longer. On a positive note, in the South American airlines, competition remains healthy, demand is stable, and both operational and financial performance are holding up well despite the FX volatility.
