Life Returns to Normal in Taiwan

While most Taiwanese wear masks in public, life and businesses have largely reverted to normal, and locals seem to have a relaxed attitude about rising geopolitical risks.

Visiting Taiwan and the companies we invest in there after three and a half years of COVID disruption was an incredible learning and relearning process for me. It’s interesting that most Taiwanese still wear masks in public, but it’s also evident that life and businesses have largely reverted to normal. The semiconductor industry is undoubtedly experiencing mixed fundamentals, with a gradually balanced inventory yet uncertain demand outlook. Another interesting discovery is that local people seemed to have a very relaxed attitude toward rising geopolitical risks.
