Transcript
I attended the Middle East North Africa (MENA) Conference in a consumer field trip hosted by Bank of America in Riyadh. Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is driving an economic transformation in the country, with spending now recalibrated, more focused, and fiscally prudent. Reforms are making an impact. Unemployment is at record lows, and women’s participation has risen from 17% at Vision’s 2030 launch to 35%. Consumer and retail companies are tapping into rising incomes, while real estate activity is surging. Looking ahead, we’ll track developments in privatization, infrastructure, Vision 2030 projects, and expected employment policies.
