Where Global Defense Demand Is Shifting

Speaker

Research Analyst

While U.S. contractors remain central, rising costs and constrained supply chains are accelerating demand for more accessible defense solutions from Asia.

So the proposed U.S. defense budget included line items for missiles and interceptors and similar categories, for growth will be 100% to even 200% depending on the line item. And this is mainly going to benefit U.S. prime contractors, but the U.S. has supply constraints, and U.S. systems are quite expensive. So we’re finding opportunities in Japanese, Korean, and Singapore providers who have capacity to sell systems, willingness to sell systems, for countries that can’t afford or cannot get or don’t want the U.S. alternatives.
