Caroline Karanu is a quantitative analyst at William Blair Investment Management. Before joining William Blair in 2024, she was a senior analyst at Columbia Threadneedle Investments for two years. Before that, she was an analyst at BMO Asset Management for two and a half years, where she conducted quantitative research in support of the team’s U.S. strategies as well as enhanced their research and portfolio management infrastructure. Caroline began her career in the investment industry as a portfolio management analyst at Dimensional Fund Advisors in 2018. She received a B.Sc. in actuarial science from the University of Nairobi and an M.Sc. in computational finance and risk management from the University of Washington.
